Detailed plot synopsis reviews of France and Germany at Maastricht Politics and Negotiations to Create the European Union

This volume explains the events that led to the historic treaty negotiated in Maastricht to create the European Union in December 1991. In this capacity, she interviewed many of the key players in the narrative. The book's focus is on three leaders whose decisions shaped the final outcome, German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, French President Francois Mitterrand and European Commission President Jacques Delors.
