A young girl's life continues to fall silently apart despite her best efforts to ignore it. On the surface, she appears normal and harmless, but delving deeper reveals deceit, intolerance and a disturbingly vicious streak. Kingdom Wink is an unusual, insightful and, at times, highly emotional novel written through a strange perspective where much is told through implication rather than graphic description, where the narrator cannot entirely be trusted and nothing is quite as it seems.
