Maya's mother and father have decided to get a divorce. Maya's begins to hang out with people other than her real friends. She was once an oustanding student and a member of the tennis team. Then her grades begin to fall. Maya's problem is the rejection suffered by her mother and her father's separation.

Maya begin to blame her mother for everything that has happened. She tries to say that's the reason she begins to act like she does. She begins to lie to her friends and family.
