All that Misty can remember is a fight with her husband during which she hit him on the head with a statue. After that Misty fell into a deep sleep. When she awoke, both the statue and her husband were gone. To the police Misty's seems like an open and shut case, but Nina is convinced of her clients innocence. To prove it, Nina begins to delve into the private side of the Patterson's marriage, and secrets from Misty's childhood that even Misty herself has repressed. As she gets closer to the truth Nina begins to realize that her own life may be in danger.
