Brynn is having a hard time dealing with her mother death and because of that she found herself alone. Brynn 16 year old adopted girl who is going through very bad period in her life. Her adoptive mother suddenly died and because she was having hard time dealing with her mother's death she started to distance herself from her two best friends and she stopped to do the pottery. She broke up with her boyfriend only to find a new one, Jason. Soon she found out that she is pregnant with Jason and she decided to tell him that. His reaction was terrible; he demands that she should get an abortion. Also then she found out that Jason is 7 years her senior and that he lied to her about his age. Devastated she returned home, and before she had time to break the news to her father she had a miscarriage. At that moment her world shattered completely. She spent that summer alone and hurt, and she decide not to press charges against Jason.

After the summer is over, Brynn have to return to school. She was still lonely. Her old friends did not pay attention to her, and new ones were hard to find, especially when you were main topic of the school gossips. But soon two things occurred in her life. First school counselor gave her ultimatum to choose between school counseling and counseling in community center. She opted for community center. Second, her old friend and first crush, Christian, move back and this time he became her neighbor. From that point things started to change for better. Reluctantly Brynn started to go to the community center for counseling where she met Emily, 16 year old pregnant girl. At the same time her friendship with Christian begun. Beside Emily and Christian, Brynn met Christian mum and they became friends. Soon she realizes that all these people have problems they are dealing with them in the best they can and that sharing the problems can is a right path to healing.
By the end of the story, Jason died in the car crash. Hearing that, Brynn opened up to her father for the first time since the death of her mother. She also confesses her feelings to Christian apologize to her friends and start anew to do a pottery.

I like this story because it is well written. It is deeply emotional story with realistic characters and realistic, but happy end.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene is when Brynn find out about Jason death and when she start to cry in her father arms because of that.
Opinion about the main character:
I like the way Brynn learned to let things go and how she find a strength and courage to confess to her friends and in that way to start to rebild relationship with them.
