Griffin is an old friend of both Kennedy and her husband; Kennedy feels that he betrayed her trust after overhearing one side of a conversation which sounded like Griffin knew that Kennedy's husband had been having an affair.

Griffin comes back into Kennedy's life when they are both chasing the same guy who has skipped out on his bail. She is still angry at him but can't deny she is attracted to his gorgeous good look and great body. He tries to explain the phone call that she overheard, but Kennedy is having none of it until he eventually catches her at home and insists, and it turns out that he is on her side and was all along.

After a series of near misses catching the criminal they are chasing and a load of sexually charged encounters they end up making out and Griffin tells Kennedy he has loved her since high school. She still is not sure about trusting him but then when her ex-husband who has been missing dates to see his children turns up apologetic with a black eye and Griffin has bruised knuckles; Kennedy starts to believe he is on her side.

Kennedy finally manages to catch up with the bail jumper, but he turns out to be a lot more dangerous than she though, and although she is able to get herself out of trouble and him in handcuffs it is a close call. The concern for her safety that Griffin shows is the finally proof of his love for her, and she realizes he was the right guy for her all along.
Best part of story, including ending: I liked the strong female lead character

Best scene in story: I like the scene when Kennedy realizes that Griffin has punched her ex

Opinion about the main character: Kennedy seems to give in a little too easily, which doesn't really match her bad ass character
