Alona Dare, cheerleader, Homecoming Queen and all-round perfect girl in high school, is run over by a bus of band geeks and dies. But she comes back as a ghost to find that her friends and family are already moving on and forgetting about her, days after her funeral. Also, Alona can't seem to be able to retain her ghost form as she keeps flickering in and out, disappearing into an unknown place for hours before reverting back to her ghost form. Will Killian has the ability to see, hear and talk to ghosts. When he sees Alona's friends talking trash about Alona and Alona's ghost hearing it, he is amused by the irony of the mean cheerleader getting what she deserved in her afterlife. But Will has problems of his own as an evil ghost is bent on killing him. Alona wants Will to help her move on to the White Light and Will reluctantly agrees to a deal as it seems the only way he can face the evil ghost is with Alona by his side.

Best part of story, including ending:
The chemistry between Will and Alona is amazing and so it their banter.
Best scene in story:
The scene where Alona first comes to Will's house.
Opinion about the main character:
Will was a perfectly normal teenager, albeit with paranormal powers. He loved his family, he worked hard in high school and he was perfectly nice to everyone. It was refreshing to read about a teenage boy who wasn't spoilt rotten or who was trying to act all tough.
