This story is about Catherine, the daughter of Damask and Bruno (from The Miracle at St. Bruno's). Catherine, known as Cat, went to stay with her adopted sister, Honey. While she was there, she met Jake Pennlyon. She hated him. He wanted her. He blackmailed her into agreeing to marry him. Shortly before the wedding was to take place, Cat, Honey, and Cat's maid were kidnapped and taken to Don Felipe, who wanted revenge on Jake. Cat found herself an unwilling pawn in Don Felipe's revenge. Then circumstances began to change, so did feelings. When Jake finally found Cat, their verbal battles were more fierce than ever.
