Sylvie and her circle of fellow witches are investigating a mysterious death in their small Louisiana town. The evidence seems to point to a werewolf, and Sylvie begins to suspect that Rand could (unwittingly) be the killer.

Magic and mystery figure prominently into this romance. Sylvie can read others' emotions, and her witch friends have supernatural powers, as well.
