Martha starts seducing Nick and ridiculing George, who answers back, leading to a series of ackward events, games and jokes that make Nick uncomfortable, while Honey falls drunk very soon. Martha tells the guest, despite George's warnings, about their son who is 21 years old.

George then tells everyone that their son has just died in a car accident, to which Martha reacts violently. Nick finally understands that their son is only imaginary, a game between George and Martha. Indeed, they could not have children, so they made one up, but George had told Martha not to mention him, so he decides to "kill" him. Nick and Honey leave exhausted after the long night, leaving the hosts together in an anticlimactic ending, mourning their gone child, whom they decide not to bring back to "life".
