Antonia: Antonia is the daughter of Sophia. She got pregnant when she had a wild adulterous affair with Matteo. Sophia had to give her bastard baby up so Antonia was raised thinking someone else was her mommie.
Caterina: Sophia's friend. Sophia drops off her unwanted babies with Caterina.
Delgrasso: An assistant to Sophia's father who betrays Sophia. But at least he doesn't try to bone her in the ass (see Pietro below).
Pietro: One of Manzini's artist assistants. He's also a homosexual rapist. He tries to rape Sophia when she is disguised as a man, and gets a big surprise.
Francesco: A teenage orphan boy who Sophia meets on her travels. Like nearly everyone else in the story, he also wants to bang Sophia.
Manzini: A famous painter who hires Sophia to be an apprentice at great personal risk to himself, because girls are not allowed to paint.
Matteo: Sophia's son. She named her son after her adulterous boyfriend, and her husband didn't seem to have a problem with that. Why? As with everything in this makes-no-sense story, why ask why?
