Anne Perry Message Board

posts on 6/1/2006 7:10:23 PM Oh, no fair to tease. Now I'll have to get it read ASAP and check the earlier comments to see what was mentioned!
posts on 6/1/2006 5:44:07 PM I just finished Anne lastest book about Monk.As allways it was wonderful. I am not going to comment until I am sure every one has read it but it does answer a question we had on the board a while ago. Enjoy.
posts on 6/1/2006 11:03:40 AM I agree all that happened over fifty years ago when Anne was 15. For the record her friend hit her mother over the head with a brick in a sack because she wouldn't let her go with Anne to South Africa. Anne was there so although there was no proof that she swung the sock?brick she was convicted of aiding and abbetting a murder. Don't confuse a highly fictionalised film with the true facts. Now can we get back to the more interesting news, does anyone know what Anne's next book is? There should have been one out in April but I can't find it listed.

posts on 6/1/2006 9:21:50 AM Personal comment... Unless you want to discuss AP's very good books, butt out and stay off this site. I'm too old to be wasting my time commenting on moralities. And to the readers... I can't believe I haven't still haven't made time for Anne's last Monk book. (I'm using the excuse that it is always out when I go to the library.) However, I have reserved it and hope that I get it soon. Will "talk" then.
posts on 5/31/2006 10:48:55 PM WOW, your life must be pretty empty if all you have to talk about a subject thats been over a long time ago. Everbody, if they have any kind of life has things they are ashamed of except you of course. What she did she has paid for and gone on to have a very successful life, Can you say the same thing?
posts on 5/31/2006 1:51:52 PM Is it true that Anne Perry (f/k/a Juliet Hulme) when she was a teenager, along with a childhood friend, killed that friend's mother (gruesomely so; 45 blows with a brick), and was convicted of murder? Their age was apparently the only thing which saved them from the NZ's death penalty.
posts on 5/23/2006 12:11:52 PM Jillian if you come to England again let me know I'd bedelighted to show around on an Anne Perry tour. I want to go to Kent sometime this summer and find the locatioin for where Grandma stayed at Christmas (Christmas Guest?) I think my next set of photo will be whats left of the London Dock area to tie in with the two Monk books- Tide and Assassin. Just finished a production of Pirates of Penzance and had to equip the pirates with cutlasses - even the replicas look very vicious Monk's men (if they had ever existed) would have felt greatly re-assured with one of those in their hands. (for you who have not read Dark Assassin a thrill yet to come)
