Barack Obama Message Board

Angie posts on 1/25/2009 10:06:26 PM Barack Obama must be an Uncle Tom. The lyrics in one of the United States Marine Corps' anthems goes, "the Finnish girls were slim and fair", or something like that. The United States' military is the only military in the world, with blatantly racist lyrics in one of its anthems. What sort of black man would want to defend this nation--against ANY enemy?

Anonymous posts on 1/20/2009 4:17:29 PM I am only 17 and am unable to vote. I would like to thank everyone who voted for Barack Obama. Let's all hope he does not encounter too much resistance from his colleagues with his plans for a better America. Thank you

Steven Mayo posts on 1/20/2009 7:38:29 AM Is it fair to say that Thomas Jefferson's quote "...all men created equal..." has been achieved? Can we now abandon programs like, Affirmative Action, that are a blatant contradiction to America's founding ideals? Will the most qualified individuals now get an equal opportunity for employment, college acceptance, and scholarship funds? It is time for a change. As a very young man I adopted a saying for myself, "Somebody has always had it harder but made it farther." It's time to kick out the crutches, stop playing the race card, and just be the most qualified person applying.
DAVID JORDAN posts on 12/18/2008 2:50:12 PM Honey Bees are extremely important. Colony Collapse Disorder needs to be addressed now! Albert Einstein Stated: "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years left of life." Mr. Obama, Why are Honey Bees loosing their way back to the hive? What causes it? Viral infection? Parasitical? Electromagnetic radiation from high voltage towers or cell phones? Will life as we know it end, without our food crops?
John JG posts on 11/7/2008 4:14:45 PM I Live in Launceston Tasmania Australia, I am a Vietnam Veteran suffering with health problems associated with the war.Where I live is seemingly sheltered from most of the world's problems, except for the economic and climate problems. In saying that I felt that America and more importantly the World needed change and I believe that the change is now here with the election of Barack Obama as president of the United states of America, congratulations. The worlds current problems are big and wide I feel that the people of not only America but the rest of the world want change and will get behind the new president and support him. I hear Bin Laden has suggested to President Barack Obama that all American troops should be pulled out of all Muslim countries!!, I suggest that if Al-Qaeda wants a peaceful better life for all muslims he and all the cowardly leaders give themselves up not only for the murder of 3,000 innocent people in New York but for all the other innocent victims around the world including muslims and then the world can start to negotiate a peaceful order. Al-Qaeda is a evil terrorist organisation that operates as cowards.
david speed posts on 11/5/2008 4:32:29 AM ODE TO BARACK OBAMA'S ELECTION Disappear, dismal November skies, This is the day you're born to be alive Land of the Free, joyful where it has grieved, Has burst its chains, now it can be believed, Why has the picture changed, what is this panorama? What sunrise gently stirs what lay in deepest slumber? Step forward, one black man, Barack Hussein Obama Once, I stood in Memphis, Tennessee, Before motel where forty years ago One black man beheld a Promised Land, He saw no coloured skin, character was King, There he was killed, here people dance and sing, The dream fulfilled, we have got there at last, Where each considered equal, what cannot be the sequel? Reveille sounds new dawning's trumpet blast
Furtive posts on 11/5/2008 12:26:33 AM They both paid such awesome respect and credit to each other, it was somewhat emotional. I'm watching Obama just finishing up his speech right now. He's such an awesome speaker. I think we'll be just fine with him. Maybe i was wrong... or maybe i just haven't opened myself to him. But i have a feeling things will change for the better :) That's really all i can hope for. Good luck Obama!!!! :)
W McCloud posts on 11/4/2008 10:12:13 AM Many times we find the truth in children innocent comments. Last night (ever of election day '08), my 5 year old son fell a sleep. He woke up 45 minutes into his sleep, as he walked to me and told me the following:" Mom, tomorrow Orack Obama (cute isn't??) will be the the new President of America. He will moved to the BIG White House with his family." What is interesting about all this, is that he has not been around much of political discussion. We do not discuss political views in our house openly, because we'll like for our two children to form a belief according to what they learn and experience. We don't want them to become victims of "I have to vote for this party because its a family tradition." Well, may God help Senator Obama make history, but most of all to be able to take this country to a new path of building prosperity and respect. May my son be right on his prediction.
Robert W. Brown posts on 11/3/2008 4:45:32 PM I believe that many in the Republican Party and Democratic Party are corrupt. The members that do a good job should be commended. In other words, give credit where credit is due. The Democrats and some Republicans are still cleaning up the mess that the Republicans made for over 10 years. How do I know this? Easy to answer. I watch every Congressional session that is on C-Span. Many things, good or bad is not known by the public. The public would rather watch the news on the mainstream media. Many Americans would rather watch the celebrity news on CNN, MSNBC, CBS and faux news. The mainstream news broadcasts are censored. That is why Americans are so stupid. Television is the Master Mind Controller. This mind controlling device is the favourite device of the Bush Administration. That has made it sooo easy for the Bush Administration to push democracy out of the way and usher in fascism. In July 2007, Americans lost their freedom and their rights as well. It just may be too late to get our country back. When I saw this coming I tried to tell as many Americans as possible as to what was happening to their country. Many called me a nut-job or an anti-American. I was also told "nothing like that could ever happen to our country." Well it did.
