alli posts on 3/15/2007 5:23:49 PM This is an awesome book. It's about a young girl who's grandfather dies and she has no one to turn to, except her aunt and uncle in connecticut. She hops on the nearest boat from barbados to connecticut. When she get there she is greeted unwarmingly. Then as the time goes on she learns about the cruel and cold community. She does make a few friends along the way.
