Bob it was out of order because Gary was trying to tell you about brians past and present times. Also there was a lot of flash backs in the book. but the books great.

I think Hatchet was too repetative and out of order. Don't read Hatchet!

i thank that this is the best book i have ever read and im in 7th grade and i read it in 4th its still the best book ((::

It changed Brian because he was used to the bow and arrow and his spear. when he got the rifle he felt like it changed how he hunted. It also scared all th animals away.
