Oh, Ms. M! That's just like my Grade 6 Class! We just finished reading Hatchet, and we're starting Brian's Winter soon. The children have a book report due tomorrow. About Hatchet.

It's strange that a man appeared at Brian's camp in the fourth book.But the rest of the book is great!

I wonder how Brian will survive during the winter. How will he stay warm enough all day and all night? Will he think to store food up because he won't be able to go pick some berries?

I think the wast of time was that
Brian went down the river 100 mi. for
nothing. Because Derek would of survived anyway.

I think the river was a wast of time to.I thought that derick woudint survive. And then when it he would have survived even if they didint. I felt bad for brian.

My fourth grade book group is now reading Brian's Winter after having finished Hatchet and The River. We were all dissapointed that Brian's journey down the river was a waste- that Derek would have survived even if he had not made that treacherous journey. What do you think?

I dont really enjoy reading hatchet so i never do my hatchet homework
it isnt my favorite type of style of book, it cankinda boring. but i will get over it!!

Hatchet is a very good book, and I am looking forward to reading Brians winter
