"The Music of Dolphins" is a very good book. I began to care about Mila, even though she's a fictional character. The book reveals some important things about happiness and quality of life, although I think there could have been a compromise at the end.

Greetings from Washington!
We are doing an author study for school and would like to ask you some questions.
~At what point in your life did you figure out that you would like to write books as a profession?
~Why did you pick the University of Maryland for your main education?
~Who or what was your inspiration to write "Out of the Dust?"
~What or who was your inspiration for "Stowaway?"
~Was there any person or experience in your life that had to do with one of your books? If so, what book and why?
~Why did you dream of being an archeologist, ambassador, and actor? At what ages did you dream of doing these things?
~Did your parent's professions have an impact on your career choice?
Thank you so much for your time. This infomation will really help us with our project.
Alissa and Jenna :)
