patricia harwin posts on 9/30/2009 10:35:31 AM I do have a grown daughter, with whom I get along better than Catherine does with Emily, but certain dynamics between mothers and daughters are universal. No grandchildren, but I based that aspect on a close friend, her daughter and grandson. In fact, Catherine is pretty much a combination of this friend and myself.
Angela posts on 9/25/2009 8:36:33 PM Currently reading your first book, and so sorry your third was not able to be published. You write very well about mother and daughter relationship.Do you have a daughter and grandchild?
Mary Lou posts on 9/17/2009 1:07:46 AM Patricia, Thanks so much for updating your fans. I fully understand your position concerning not publishing. God bless you in your future pursuits, although we will all miss your books.

patricia harwin posts on 9/16/2009 8:42:27 PM You all don't know how you cheer me up - especially the latest post, of the blind lady who loves my books! I've tried every idea you've suggested to get back in publication - the only one I won't try is self-publishing, bcs that requires commitment of ALL one's time and energy and I, at 74, want to devote my remaining time to the things I need to do before my life ends. Believe me,I had lots of plans for Catherine, her friends and family, and I'm very sorry you won't be in on them!
Tamara posts on 9/1/2009 2:13:18 PM Hi all- yes, I love these books too and I have been waiting from more from her. I knew my mother would also love them so, sinse I could not find them on tape and my mom is blind, I have begun to read them onto cassett tape for her. She did love the first, and now I am working on the second. (My horribly-monotone voice, coughing, etc., apparently didn't detract from her enjoying it!) Has Ms Harwin fallen ill?
Kate posts on 8/25/2009 12:01:35 AM I have just discovered this series -- am halfway through Slaying Is Such Sweet Sorrow, & am devastated to find there are no more! Has anyone heard from the author about this?
tammie posts on 8/19/2009 2:08:27 PM These 2 books were wonderful. I've read them three times because they're just so interesting. The characters are tops and the plot lines well thought out. Shame on the publishers! Let's all write letters. There should have been 6 more books by now.
NIna Kay posts on 7/24/2009 5:32:06 PM Seems there must be more to this than meets the eye, otherwise we'd have this third book in hand by now. It is very strange.
Judy posts on 7/21/2009 3:17:47 PM I want to add my bit to encourage Patricia Harwin to keep writing and looking for a publisher. I was shocked to find out from other postings that her original publisher dropped her. I loved the first two books! The characters are interesting. I love the heroine, who has to stand up to her family to be herself. And I can't believe we won't find out what happens to them all. I hope a way is found to continue the series.
Lily posts on 7/9/2009 6:01:04 PM Have you tried to self publish? And then sell them. I am frustrated that the books can be sold with out letting you finish the series. Publishers should be more supportive of there writers. I loved the books.
