I also heard that the person playing Rockbiter Junior in #2 also died during filming! Some freak accident with his tricycle!

No. It has been confirmed by Noah Hathaway himself in an interview. The horse did not die.

My friend Collette is a Neverending Story fanatic and she heard that the horse did die.
