This film is about a girl whose mother and sisters are trying to find a guy for her. Milly's mother Daphne and her sisters Mae and Maggie at Maggie's wedding are trying to set her up with a bachelor at the reception but they warned her not to laugh. But as she started talking to him she breaks out into snorting laughter.

At her Mae's wedding Milly is in the bedroom with a guy that she met at the wedding. Mae calls her Milly because she thinks that guy is bad and she should warn her sister. They all where happy that Milly have finaly found someone until they found out that he is already married. Despite all the help from her sisters and mother Milly is unsuccessful in her romantic relationships. After trying every possible way to set her daughter up with a guy Milly's mother Daphne place an ad for her daughter and goes to a restaurant to meet the respondents to the ad. After a long list of interviewers a guitarist from the restaurant band named Johnny talks to her and wants to meet Milly but just because he is a tattooed musician Daphne thinks that he will break her daughter's heart.

When Daphne is busy interviewing the final bachelor Jason, Johnny takes one of Milly's cards. Daphne thinks that Jason is perfect for her daughter because he is a successful architect. So Daphne wants Milly and Jason to meet and start dating. On the other hand Johnny uses the business card find Milly and they also start dating. Milly continues to date both Jason and Johnny. At Daphne's birthday party Jason hints that he wants to be a part of the family and announces that he's going to introduce Milly to his parents. Milly can't make up her mind about who she should leave and keep.

When Jason drops off Milly after a dinner with his parents Johnny waiting for her sees them together. Johnny becomes angry and confronts her and he break up with her.
Milly overhears Jason's mother saying on the phone that he met his girlfriend on the internet and she think that Jason's mother is talking about him. Milly confronts Jason; he discloses that her mother posted an ad for her on a dating site. Milly becomes very angry with her mother and goes back to her unhappy life. Daphne realizes that Johnny will make Milly happy and support Milly to win Johnny back but Johnny won't talk to her because his pride is getting in the way. At the end Daphne working as a cupid by Milly and Johnny, confronts Johnny and makes him realize that his pride is getting in the way. Johnny after taking Daphne's advice disrupts Milly's cooking class to give her a big kiss. And finally the movie ends with the third wedding of Milly the youngest of three sisters.
