Two cheerleaders, tired of their snobby teammates, quit the team and decide to start their own squad. However, only one team can represent the school in the state competition. The new team has only two days to prepare. The regular cheerleaders go first and get the crowd behind them. But, as soon as the new squad performs the crowd gets behind them. After the contest, the original team expects to win, but the new team is crowned the winner. They are named the new varsity squad and they're invited to represent their school in the competition.
