After slavery Conan becomes a gladiator and is trained for 5 years in order to become the perfect killing machine with no consciense regarding life and death.
After finally being set free, Conan is a barbarian in the midsts of a great civilization. He now possesses superhuman strength and indifference to human life. Despite the preceding events Conan maintains his sense of vengeance and the rest of the movie is based on his searching for Thulsa Doom and ultimatly, his own sense of worth.

Conan (Schwarzenegger) was raised as a slave by the men who slaughtered his tribe. After growing into a muscular warrior, he is freed. He soon surrounds himself with a loyal group of fellow warriors and is asked by a king to rescue his daughter. It turns out that the king's daughter is being held in the castle of Thulsa Doom, the very man who killed Conan's mother. Doom is the leader of a cult who worships snakes and he even possesses the ability to turn into a giant snake himself. This is a thrilling adventure of valor, strength, and good vs evil.
