This is a Czech film, brought to the West by Director Jan Sverak and producer Eric Abraham. In the form of a flashback it tells the story of two Czech airmen who help the RAF in the Battle of Britain (WW2), but both fall in love with the same widowed country-dweller (Tara Fitzgerald). Forgetting responsibilities at home, this tests their friendship, commitment and capability to fight effectively. One is forced to sacrifice his own life in order for his friend to return to Tara for frolicking, but oh no! ... Tara's husband is back from the war and most definitely alive!

Our living character returns to post-war Czecheslovakia, but ends up in a Communist labour camp; a prisoner of the state against the state, locked up for helping the progress of democratic freedom in the war.
Dark, moving, but excellent. Well contructed. Keeps the pace continually. Wonderful Spitfire footage (special effects). Watch this one - it's going to do well.
