Michael J. Fox plays Dr. Stone, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who causes a car accident in a small town. He reluctantly agrees to stay in town for a few days as a doctor, since the town desperately needs one, while his car is repaired. There he falls for his nurse (Warner) and runs afoul her boyfriend (Harrelson). Once he gets to know the townspeople, he's able to find more respect not only for them, but himself.
