This is the story of a football coach for a school team that has not been performing well and he is forced to change his strategy in order to keep his job. One of the parents is devastated since he is hoping that his son will get a college scholarship through football and that cannot happen with the team's current performance. He therefore proposes that Grant be replaced by his assistant Brady. If it happens, this will be a hit to him since he will be rendered jobless and his financial condition will deteriorate further. He therefore devices a new strategy whereby he decides to change his attitude and that of the team. His new approach is that they should maintain a grateful attitude whether they win or lose, but keep working hard.

From this philosophy, David a new student who has been a soccer player previously is able to take a striker's position and becomes the best striker after a long struggle of trying and failing. The other team members also get encouraged and they develop discipline not only in the field but in their personal lives as well. As a result of this transformation, Grant is given a car gift by one of the parents. He is also able to steer the team to first position in that particular season, battling it out with renown champions.
