Félix is the owner of a bumper-cars stand at a funfair. One day, he notices a young woman, Lola, who seems sad and confused. He makes her acquaintance, hires her at the stand and falls for her. But Lola is in the habit of suddenly disappearing for a few days before coming back to Félix. She will finally tell him that a former lover, a singer, is following her and prevents her from seeing her daughter Camille. As this man keeps coming to the fair and harassing Lola, Félix is more and more in love with the young woman who asks him at last if he could kill a man for her.
