GANG TAPES is a movie cowritten and directed by Adam Ripp in 2001.
Kris receives as a gift a videocamera the local street gang has just stolen from tourists. From this moment on, we will observe through the eye of this camera, from the inside, three days of the life of Kris's family and friends. There is Alonzo, the older brother, a drug dealer who uses Kris as a courier, there is Cyril, a psychotic just got out of prison, who can kill with no good reason at all and there's also Kris's mother who prefers to close her eyes in front of what is going on in her house. And, of course, there's the danger created by the incursions of the other gangs in the streets controlled by Kris's friends.
