Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Gnomeo and Juliet

It's the red lawn gnomes against the blue lawn gnomes in this hilarious remake of the Shakespearean classic of "Romeo and Juliet." Gnomeo (with the voice of James McAvoy) lives with all the blue gnomes in the garden of Mrs. Montague (with the voice of Julie Walters). Juliet (with the voice of Emily Blunt) lives with the red gnomes in the garden of Mr. Capulet (with the voice of Richard Wilson). Mrs. Montague and Mr. Capulet had a long-standing rivalry about their gardens and the special plants they grow in them.

The gnomes have a race on lawnmowers. Gnomeo rides for the blues. Tybalt (with the voice of Jason Statham) rides for the reds. The blues win, but only because Tybalt is cheating. To get even, Gnomeo and his buddy Benny (with the voice of Matt Lucas) sneak into the garden of the blue gnomes. They almost get caught poisoning the water well. As they run away, by accident Gnomeo finds himself in a secret garden where he meets Juliet. Juliet is trying to bring a special flower from the secret garden back to her own garden to make it more beautiful.

In the secret garden, there is a wise plastic pink flamingo lawn decoration who calls himself Featherstone (with the voice of Jim Cummings) that has lost its mate. Featherstone recognizes the love between Gnomeo and Juliet because it reminds him of his lost mate. At one time in the past, the two plastic pink flamingos were side-by-side in the yard but the owners of the garden got rid of them when they had a lover's quarrel and broke up. When they were discarded, one of the pair was separated from the other one, and she hasn't been seen since by her mate.

The blue gnomes attack the red gnomes' garden killing their prized plant. The blue gnomes want to launch a counter attack. When Gnomeo has a chance to kill the prized plant of the reds, and sees Juliet he stops. He simply cannot go through with it. Then Gnomeo and Tybalt get into a fight while riding on a lawnmower. Gnomeo jumps off in time right before the mower smashes into a wall. Tybalt is apparently killed. The reds attack Gnomeo. They throw him in front of a passing truck in the street. They think he was run over, but Gnomeo actually survives.

Juliet is glued down by her father to a pedestal in the garden to keep her from running away. A new more powerful lawnmower arrives. When activated, it goes on a rampage destroying both of the gardens. It heads in the direction of Juliet who is unable to move from her glued position. Gnomeo rushes to her rescue but cannot remove her in time. It appears like they both die. This causes the warring gnomes to finally stop and make peace. Gnomeo and Juliet miraculously survive, the partner of the plastic flamingo is found online and ordered so she can be back with her mate, and even Tybalt is able to be glued back together in the end.
Best part of story, including ending: It is fun to think of garden decorations coming to life when no one is watching them.

Best scene in story: I like the scene when Gnomeo first discovers Juliet in the secret garden because it is so sweet when they fight in a romantic way over the beautiful flower that is there.

Opinion about the main character: All I can say is I keep looking out the window of my house, once and awhile at night, to make absolutely sure none of my garden decorations are moving.
