Captain Carlos Lamarca in the Brazilian 1960's, flees from a army base with guns and ammo and started a guerrilla war in the northwest of the country and was hunted down by Brazilian army torturers. The movie have several scenes filmed directly in the desertic catinga (a kind of vegetation) of the northwest Brazil, when Brazil was terrorized with a military dictature.
