Derek Luke plays Josh who is an up and coming assistant district attorney. Josh has to prosecute a drug-addicted prostitute named Candy (played by Keshia Knight Pulliam) but he finds this difficult because he knows her. Josh is engaged to be married to Linda Davis (played by Ion Overman) who also works as an assistant district attorney so he asks her to take the case instead. Josh has dinner with Candy and Linda finds out about it, getting very jealous. Linda says she will call off the engagement if her sees her again.

Cora (played by Tamela J. Mann) tells Madea she also has trouble controlling her anger. Madea causes a car accident after being cut off in traffic. Madea tries to talk with Cora on the phone, but Cora says she needs some time alone which makes Madea more upset. Madea goes to the store and moves a car from a parking space using a forklift. The woman that owns the car is married to a policeman. Before the cop can arrive, Madea gets away. They send the SWAT team to capture her. When Madea is back in court, this time she gets a 10 year prison sentence.

Josh asks Ellen (played by Viola Davis) to help Candy because he knew her from college. Josh took her to a party once long ago, left her behind, and she was gang-raped, so he feels guilty about this. This is why he wants to help her. Ellen gets Candy an interview for a job but the guy harasses her so she kicks him in his testicles to stop him.

Linda fixes the case against Candy to make sure she is sent to prison by falsifying evidence. Linda did this in other cases as well, including the case against Madea and one of Candy's friends named Donna (played by Vanessa Ferlito). A lawyer named Chuck (played by Ronraco Lee) discovers what Linda is doing but he can't say anything since Linda knows he cheated on the bar exam to get his license.

Candy is sent to jail where she meets up with Madea and Donna. Madea cares for Candy as if she is her mother and protects her from the rougher inmates. Madea also befriends a Latina woman named T.T. (played by Sofia Vegara) who seems nice until she finds out she is a mass murderer. Ellen comes to the prison as a social worker, to lead group therapy at the woman's jail. All the women attend, mostly to get time out of the cells. Madea gets upset that all the women feel like victims and tells them they should stop blaming others and take responsibility for their own actions that got them in jail. Candy has blamed Josh for everything that happened to her since the gang-rape but she finally decides to let it go and forgive him.

At the wedding of Josh and Linda, Chuck tells Josh how Linda manipulated the case files to make sure Candy was put in prison. Josh exposes what Linda did in front of the entire church which includes the head of the district attorney's office in the crowd. Josh leaves the wedding and goes to the prison to see Candy. He tells her he is still in love with her. Linda gets arrested for falsifying evidence. Candy, Madea, and Donna's cases are overturned and they are set free.
Best part of story, including ending: It is very funny that an old woman is so angry and stops at nothimg to get her way.

Best scene in story: When Madea goes home, finds and party going on, and clears the house threatening to shoot everyone. It's very funny.

Opinion about the main character: Madea is one tough old woman that does not take any guff from anyone. What I like is she is able to help the other women in jail.
