Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Miracle on 34th Street (1994)

In this remake of the 1947 classic, Mara Wilson stars as a young girl who refuses to believe in Santa Claus. Her mother is engaged to be married, and she wants St. Nick to grant that wish, among others. She finds him working at Macy's, and as in the original, Santa goes to court to prove his existence. In the end, the girl's mother gets married again, they move into a brand-new house and a baby is even born! This movie shows a rare example that a remake can be as good as the original; watch them back-to-back, and you'll find out why.
