Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Mortal Kombat

There are two realms in the world, the Earthrealm and Outworld. For centuries there has been a tournament for fighters from both realms to compete for their realm. If one realm wins 10 tournaments in a row, the ruler of that realm takes over both realms. Outworld have won 9. Rayden, the god of thunder and protector of Earthrealm has to select fighters to compete in the tournament. Lui Kang (Robin Shou) joins up because he wants to avenge the death of his brother at the hands of Shang Tsung, which he subsequently blames himself. Sonya Blade (Bridgette Wilson) is a member of the FBI and is after a known crimelord, Kano. After seeing him board the boat which takes the fighters to the tournament, she follows him. Johnny Cage (Linden Ashby) boards the boat to prove to the world that he is a good fighter as the media have been overly critical of him. But, Shang Tsung wants the tenth win to go without a hitch and sets up some traps for the fighters.
