POSITIVE I.D. is a movie written, produced and directed by Andy Anderson in 1987.
Julie Kenner has been raped a year ago and is still psychologically suffering. She repels her husband, takes a lot of tranquillizers and is regularly seeing a psychiatrist. She accidentally learns that it's technically possible to assume the identity of a dead person and finds in this idea a way to recover. She will be most of the time a recovering Julie in front of her husband but also Bobbie King, a gorgeous red-haired woman from Florida, for the customers of Roy Mercer's bar downtown. Meanwhile, Dana, a charming neighbour takes care of her two little girls and of her...husband. One day, Julie learns that her rapist has been released from prison.
Superb performance of Stephanie Rascoe.

Erika S. on 11/19/2016 6:58:24 AM says: I watched this movie twice because I thought I was dreaming about how horrible it was the first time. It came on the Escape Channel and thought I would give it a second try. Big mistake. Poorly acted, reminded me of high school students trying to recite lines while filming at the same time. Unrealistic and there is no way a 6-foot woman would be mistaken or misidentified.
