Royce is a mercenary who finds himself in a very precarious situation: he is plummeting from a great height. Luckily for him the parachute deploys before he hits the ground. A few minutes later more people fall from the sky landing in the vicinity of Royce.After witnessing several of the people who fell from the sky nearly kill themselves, Royce decides the best course of action would be for everyone to join forces in order to survive and get a better understanding of their current predicament. Before you know it the group of renegades get to know each other, but everyone is on edge and no body understands the predicament they have found themselves in.The one common link amongst the group is that for the most part they are all highly trained and proficient killers. The group hikes up to the high point of the jungle they have found themselves stranded in and spot something unusual 3 moon: they aren't on Earth. After an ambush where one of them get killed the group finds themselves in a game of kill or be killed with some of the best hunters in the galaxy: the Predators. After meeting another exile who has been on the planet a lot longer than the current group, and learning of a spaceship that drops the prey off; Royce figures the best way to get off the planet is hijacking one of the alien ships.In trying to accomplish this mission he will need all the help he can get from his fellow renegades.

Best part of story, including ending:
It takes what the original Predator did so well and ups the ante by giving you a group of even more specialized killers, and giving them a bigger arena to fight in. Plus there is more than one Predator.
Best scene in story:
When a Yakuza enforcer takes on one of the Predator's with a Katana blade. It was a great fight scene because in it you see the level of respect that each combatant has for the other. There is a sense of honor that the two combatants share and neither resorts to cheap tricks in order to win the fight.
Opinion about the main character:
Royce is a very self interested and cynical person. He develops slightly towards the end, and recognizes that he does need help, and he is not as capable of doing everything on his own as he thought he was.
