The girl tells him to go away, but he doesn't listen, instead finding his way through the Forest of the Great Forest Spirit, a feat no human except the adopted daughter of Moro has managed. When he returns two wounded citizens of Irontown to the town, he is celebrated as a hero. He hears that the girl is call Princess Mononoke (princess of the spirits) and that Lady Eboshi wants to kill her.
