A woman is asked to take $400,000 to a bank. Instead she takes it and goes on the run. While driving through a heavy rainfall, she decides to stop at the Bates Motel. She meets the odd motel owner who lives with his mother. That night she is murdered. A private investigator goes to the Bates Motel to investigate, but he gets killed as well. The woman's sister and boyfriend work together to find out what happened.

This is a horrible remake of a classic movie about the young woman Marion Crane (Anne Heche) who steals some money from her boss and runs away and stops at the old run down Bates Motel to meet the young man who runs the hotel, Norman Bates (Vince Vaughn). Bates is ordered around by his crazy old mother who lives in the huge house next to the hotel and never comes out. Things start to go wrong when Marion is missing and can't be found by her friends and family the next day.
