Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Quarantine

A reporter is caught in a virus outbreak in an apartment complex that is ridden with infected flesh-eating people. Angela and her cameraman Scott are assigned to cover a story on a fire station. When a call comes in requiring the firemen to respond, the TV crew goes with them. They arrive at an apartment building and are briefed by the building super, Yuri. A woman is acting violently upstairs so they go up to check it out. The woman is not herself and is acting like a wild animal, one cop who's with them gets bitten. The other cop assigned to watch the woman later falls down several flights, breaking his legs. The building is now on lockdown, and no one can leave. The doors, even the windows are sealed. The residents are then rounded up, among them a young couple, a mother with a sick child Briana, and a veterinarian, Lawrence. Lawrence discloses that the symptoms seem akin to rabies. The cop who fell, attacks them regardless of his broken limbs, but the vet tranqs him.

The group then proceeds to the young couples apartment to get to the bottom of what's going on. They turn on the TV and are shocked to know that the CDC has evacuated everybody, which is false. They realize that they are being kept there permanently to die, all in the name of damage control. Then the lights go off.

Downstairs, the CDC tests the sedated cop, but he suddenly breaks free and bites people. Angela learns that the disease came from an infected dog, which belonged to Briana. She now suspects that Briana is infected too. Briana's mom eager to protect her is in utter denial, soon enough Briana turns and attacks them.

Soon, they are attacked left and right, by infected CDC agents, and Briana, the guy (part of the young couple) out of desperation tears open a window, only to be shot by officers outside. Angela, Scott, and one cop are the last ones standing, and recall Yuri's mention of keys that can take them to the basement for a way out. However, after retrieving the keys, they are attacked by biters, the cop is bitten. They are diverted to the top floor, and are surprised to find clippings and medical evidence of the truth. The man renting the place was the reason and source of the outbreak, having stolen the virus from the government. Just then, a zombie figure (the tenant) eats Scott, Angela wails in terror, and soon she is taken as well.
Best part of story, including ending: It has the same elements of a disaster movie, the various characters with different personalities (the cynic, the weak one, the strong one, the hero) all trapped in one place, only it's zombies terrorizing them.

Best scene in story: When the cop with broken legs scarily gets up and attacks them.

Opinion about the main character: Angela tapes everything in the hopes of exposing the truth, but since she fails to get out, their deaths will be covered up forever.
