Racing Stripes is about an animal who was abandon by the zoo and rescue by a famer. The foal was named Stripes (voiced by Frankie) because it wasn't a baby horse but a baby Zebra. Years past and Stripes grows up believing he's a race horse because he has never seen another zebra like him. The famer and his daughter noticed that Stripes likes the life and are willing to make his dreams come true now the famer knew how because he once trianed horses to race.

It's unclear why but to Stripes it was to prove himself he's a one of a kind. However, Stripes has to deal with real horses but some like Sandy (voiced by Mandy) was willing to help Strips proved the bully horses who rights. Stripes also tries to find out about his true self. Sandy isn't the only animal willing to help, Franny (voice by Whoopi) and other farm animals are also help Stripes.
