Lisa Baumer learns that her husband Kurt, who has just died in a plane crash, had signed a $1 million life insurance in her favor. Lisa goes to Athens, Greece to cash the insurance but is killed in her hotel room by someone who steals the money. Inspector Stavros, a Greek policeman, John Stanley, an Interpol cop, and Peter Lynch, a private investigator working for the insurance company, try to find out what has happened.
They soon understand that Lisa and Kurt Baumer had organized an insurance fraud and that Kurt could very well be still alive somewhere. The next day, Lara Florakis, Kurt Baumer's mistress, is also savagely knifed and the journalist Cléo Dupont dodges a similar death only thanks to Peter Lynch's miraculous intervention. Who committed these murders ? A sex maniac, someone looking for the insurance money or Kurt Baumer who wants to eliminate embarrassing witnesses ?
