Three teachers, Ed, Judy and Carl, on their way to a ball game have car trouble. They pull into a repair/junk yard for assistance, but there's nobody around. Ed finds the problem and begins to fix it by replacing the fuel pump.

Out of nowhere, Charlie and his girlfriend, Doris, two criminals in the middle of a killing spree, show themselves. Charlie forces Ed to continue working and plans to take their car. Blood thirsty, Charlie shoots and kills Carl.
Ed and Judy try to devise several plans, but are always thwarted by Charlie. They think they're saved when two cops arrive, but Charlie kills them too.
Finally, Ed takes a chance. He sprays Charlie's eyes with gas and he and Judy are able to hide.
Temporarily blinded, Charlie accidentally kills Doris.
Judy escapes and runs into the hills.
Charlie corners and kills Ed and then goes ater Judy.
Judy eventually comes across a house, but it's abandoned. She hides, but Charlie finds her.
As Charlie Chases Judy he falls down an old well filled with rattlesnakes and is attacked and killed.
Judy survives and escapes.
