A teen girl and her family are tormented by a gang of killers in their lakeside cabin. Mari is staying at their vacation house on the lake with her parents John and Emma. Earlier, a convict escapes nearby from a transfer, aided by his brother Francis and girlfriend Sadie. They kill the officers and run. Mari meets up with her friend Paige and score Marijuana from a boy Justin at the store. They smoke it up at his motel room. The band of killers arrive at the motel, Justin's dad Krug is the leader. Fearing that the girls will identify them, they beat them up, Justin is helpless. As they drive out into the woods, they crash, and the girls make a break for it into the trees but are caught. Paige is stabbed several times and killed, Mari is raped by Krug. After, she runs for the lake, and swims out, but is shot. The gang walks down the road, and goes up to Mari's house. They tell John and Emma that they've been in an accident, Mari's parents welcome them into their home. Justin however, sees Mari's picture in the house and panics. John and Emma tell them to spend the night at the detached guest house, they oblige. Bad weather is coming, and Mari alive, makes it to her house, badly hurt. Her parents find her and find out about their "guests." In the guest house, Justin steals his dad's gun. Meanwhile, Francis goes up to the main house and sees Mari, John and Emma fight him, and he gets his head stabbed with a hammer. John and Emma go to the guest house, Justin gives them the gun. John shoots at Sadie and misses, later Emma gets the gun and kills Sadie. Krug goes to the main house and sees his dead brother. John and Krug duke it out in the house. Justin appears and shoots the gun, but there are no more bullets. Krug stabs him. Emma hits Krug with a fire extinguisher knocking him out. The survivors get in the boat to get help for Mari. Later, John comes back and brutally kills Krug by putting his head in the microwave to explode.

Best part of story, including ending:
I actually had a hard time sitting through the entire movie because 30 minutes in, when the girls are caught and beat-up in the woods, I found it so disturbing.
Best scene in story:
Well, the ultimate revenge towards Krug, which is his super brutal death by microwave.
Opinion about the main character:
Mari is a fighter, so are her parents. They did what they had to do to survive which meant killing the lunatics.
