The Mortal Storm is a look at Nazi Germany in an enlightened position: not all Germans were evil. It tells a heart wrenching story of two lovers, portrayed by Margie Sullivan and Jimmy Stewart, who are torn by the scattering of Margaret's family and ex-fiancee to Nazi German positions. Frank Morgan as Margaret's father suffers a cruel fate as well in this pre US entrance-war drama where no one gets out alive.
