The town of Cypress Beach is hit by a huge felony, the murder of a local man, Amos Reed. The only problem is the only witness to the murder is Reed's junkyard dog, Hooch.

Left for dead, Turner decides to take Hooch home to become part of his home and to catch those responsible for administering the murder.

A total control freak, Turner is in for a rude awakening by all the bathroom breaks the dog needs, as well as ripping up all the furniture and slobbering everywhere.

Taking Hooch to the police station one day, the fearless dogs jumps out of the window and runs after a guy he recognized as one of those responsible for his master's murder. Turner soon catches on and the chase for Reed's killers ensues.
