This is the story of a Chihuahua who belongs to a rich woman which gets lost in Mexico, is dognapped and needs assistance to get back home. Chloe, a Chihuahua in Beverly Hills belongs to Viv a rich woman living with her niece Rachael. When Viv makes a business trip out of the country, she leaves Chloe under Rachael's care. Rachael decides to join her friends for a party in Mexico and so she tags Chloe along. At night when they go to the club, Chloe is left in the hotel room but she decides to follow her.
She however ends up getting lost in the streets of Mexico. She is captured by dog fight organizers and is enrolled to a match but her newly found friend called Delgado rescues her by causing a rampage at the fair. The two run away and Chloe requests Delgado to show her the route to Beverly Hills.
On realizing that Chloe is missing, Rachael and her friend Sam report to the police station and offer a price in exchange for Chloe. The dog fight organizers after learning of the reward decide to go after Chloe and demand it. They are successful in capturing her but she manages to escape and takes a train alongside Delgado. They are however thrown out of the train and end up in Chihuahua state where there are thousands of other Chihuahua's. Her captors manage to trail her to this place and this time she is rescued by Sam's Chihuahua, Papi. The police manage to arrest the dog fight organizers while Rachael finds her way to Beverly Hills. Luckily, she gets there before Viv's arrival and Viv doesn't get to know about Chloe's disappearance. Meanwhile, Chloe and Papi fall in love.
Best part of story, including ending:
I like the story because it brings out the aspect of social classes through dogs.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene is when Chloe finally realizes Papi's love for her and this is because Papi has been in love with Chloe from the beginning.
Opinion about the main character:
I like the fact that Chloe, despite being from a rich suburb is able to coexist with the other dogs
