A man, along with some mexican soldiers plans to rob the french garrison. On his way to the town the man encounters a whore disguised as a nun being attacked by 3 men. The man saves the 'nun' and allows her to travel with him. Having spent time in the garrison, and knowing the layout and the schedule, the nun offers to help the man rob it. After a successful robbery, the man finally learns the truth about the woman. However, by that time, they like each other and when the man moves on he takes her with him.

Based on a Budd Boetticher story, TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA is a movie directed by Don Siegel in 1970.

Hogan saves sister Sara from the hands of bad boys on his way to Chihuahua. He has to meet there Colonel Beltran who's hired Hogan to help him rob the money from the French garrison.

Sara, who knows a lot of things about the garrison as she once gave spanish lessons to the French officers, will stay with Hogan and live with him exciting adventures that will at last lead them to Chihuahua in the company of Beltran and his Juaristas.
