Mo Alexander is an American tourist who finds herself stranded in France for almost a month. Angry and disoriented, she meets Xavier de la Perouse, a handsome young international banker who is about to join his wife and children on a holiday.

A fiery attraction develops between the two and for three weeks they are together while also exploring the splendors of Paris. They love each other, but Xavier isn't willing to leave his wife and Mo isn't willing to be only a mistress, so they have a rocky relationship.
