A criminal stunt man who videotapes his illegal stunts is kidnapped by the NSA. They blackmail him into becoming a spy. The spy is sent undercover to Russia to infiltrate a gang of so-called freedom fighters.

The gang has possession of nuclear missiles and a specially constructed boat to launch them. Their plan is to use the missiles to destroy some of the world's largest and most populous cities.
The gang leader's girlfriend is actually an undercover Russian police officer. She teams up with the spy to stop the gang.
With help from the Russian police, the girl and the spy are able to take down the gang.
However, the boat with the missiles was launched.
Using his background as a stunt man, the spy is able to parachute onto the small boat. He's unable to disarm the missilies. But, right before the first missile launches the spy turns it upside down.
The missile launches back into the boat, destroying it and all of the other missiles.

This movie is almost a cartoon; it's basically an excuse for a series of stunts. At one point they run out of reasons to do stunts, so Vin starts off an avalanche behind him just to have something dangerous to do. His love interest in the movie is a spy with a butch 'do and a giant wart on her forehead. They could have done better.

Xander Cage (Diesel) is an 'extreme sports' practitioner who uses his skills to show the public, by videotaping his stunts, that the powerful are abusing their power in "The Xander Zone." Recruited by the NSA,via Jackson's a character, Xander is sent to Prague to break up a terrorist organization known as "Anarchy 99" and stop it from launching a bioterrorist weapon, Silent Night, which will bring about anarchy all over the world. Xander also gets the a girl!
