Walt Kowalski is a Korean War veteran who has just been widowed. His Michigan neighborhood is being populated by Asian gangs. The Vang Lor family moves in next door. He catches Thao Van Lor trying to steal his car during a gang initiation. The gang gets mad at Thao for messing up, but Walt backs up Thao and scares them off. Thao's mother forces Thao to work for Walt to pay him back for his troubles. Walt and Thao form a friendship. The gang continues to pressure Thao and they assault him. Walt goes to the gang members house in retaliation and gets into a fight with one of the gang members. The gang members get revenge by shooting at the Van Lor house and raping Thao's sister. The next day, Thao asks Walt to help him get revenge on the gang. Walt locks Thao in the basement so he doesn't have to kill and Walt can do it himself. Walt goes to face the gang on his own.

Best part of story, including ending:
I liked this story because the character was a good person and defended the kid.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene was when he motioned a gun to the villains with his fingers.
