Lexi Smart is a twenty-eight-year-old woman who wakes up from a coma three years later to realize that her awkward existence spent at a job and in a body she disliked, has been replaced by a dream life in a dream body; married to a perfect husband who is madly in love with her. Lexi Smart wakes up in 2007 from a coma, yet her last memory dates back to 2004 when she slipped and fell on the sidewalk while hailing a taxi cab after a wild night out with her girlfriends.

Back in 2004, Lexi wasn't satisfied with her life. She hated her looks, i.e., teeth, hair and body; her boyfriend kept cheating on her; she hated her job; and her dad had just died. In 2007, however, Lexi's body is toned; she exercises regularly; she has glamorous new friends; she has perfect hair, teeth, job as a business executive, house, car and husband - all of which she doesn't remember acquiring. In addition, her best friends from 2004 hate her now and she cannot remember why they refuse to talk with her, nor what she did. A man Lexi has never seen before even claims to be the true love of her life and that she was about to divorce her husband to finally be with him.
This is a story of setting one priorities straight and be willing to do whatever it takes to remain true to oneself.
Best part of story, including ending:
I love this book as it is humorous, and Lexi is a down-to-earth and funny individual who only wants to be reunited with her best friends.
Best scene in story:
When her lover made her discover the room he had kept for her, in which pictures of them and items that relate to who she truly is, i.e., her colourful and creative side, can be found around the apartment.
Opinion about the main character:
She doesn't take herself seriously and despite seemingly "having it all", she values her friends and true love above money, status and appearances.
