While Tash and Alice are living together, Alice starts receiving romantic notes and presents and starts to believe that she has a secret admirer. Meanwhile, having caught Patrick snooping around their house, Tash is convinced that Alice is being stalked by a dangerous man.
Patrick unexpectedly runs into Alice one day and she quickly falls in love with him after they share a meal. Dinner leads to dating and both Alice and Patrick are quickly enamored with each other. Caught up in her new romance, however, Alice makes a terrible mistake at work that almost results in her dismissal.
One night, when Patrick is supposed to come over for a date with Alice, Tash opens the door, and, recognizing him from his snooping, she threatens to call the cops on him if he doesn't leave immediately. Tash tells Alice that Patrick is definately the stalker, and before Alice can sort everything out between her and Patrick, she has to fly to NYC on a business trip. In NYC, Alice soon realizes she is fed up with her job and quits. Depressed, Alice walks to Central Park to collect herself and is approached by Patrick.
